Halloween Charcuterie Board

Come join me this fall by making a Halloween themed charcuterie board! Charcuterie boards are definitely just adult Lunchables but you won’t hear a complaint from me. I thoroughly enjoy both creating and eating charcuterie in any form. It doesn’t even need to be an expensive platter- the act of eating is where I get my joy from.
The Props
I used a skeleton from my Halloween decoration lot (most likely from Michael’s originally), gave it a bath for food safe purposes and gently removed his limbs- I was lucky they were in with screws and pins that could be easily removed.
It’s really hard to find these type of skeletons at a reasonable price these days so I’m very grateful I picked this guy up before it was cool.
I used an orange and black rectangular plastic serving platter to add more spooky colours into the mix. The tray was $3 I think
I probably had too much fun with the bath but I mean you can’t be too careful when it comes to food safety! Also, this poor fella lives in a tote in the basement for 9 months out of the year usually so a spa day was well deserved.
The Charcuterie menu:
For the board, I chose;
Sliced baguette;
Garlic butter;
Strawberries;
Grapes;
Plums;
Brie;
Mini mozzarella wheels (babybell);
Sliced pepperoni;
Shaved turkey;
Shaved roast beef; and
Fresh parsley for garish.
I also made a small plate for those who aren’t ready to embrace the spooky just yet, same ingredients just less skeleton.
