Happy Canada Day for all who celebrate! July has arrived, bringing along all the little joys that make summer so special. I hope this season offers you time to slow down and enjoy the beauty around you. However you choose to spend these warm days, I hope your summer is filled with sunshine.

What to plant: Nothing, it’s soon time to enjoy all of our hard work over the spring!

What to prune:

  • Rhododendron bushes (after they finish blooming)

  • Cherry Trees

  • Weigelia bush (after the blooms)

What is ready for harvest:

  • Tomatoes

  • Peppers

  • Peas

  • Lavender

  • Garlic Scapes

  • Chives

I’m so excited to be on a corporate detox allowing for a summer vacation for the first time since I was a teenager! Being able to simply work for myself or my house has been a breathe of fresh air. You don’t care if it rains on the weekends because you know the weather will turn sunny again soon and you’ll have nothing stopping you.
