Brisk surprised me with a sample of their lemonade. Poor thing arrived in the mail on the warmest day of the year to date but at least it wasn’t carbonated.
Exactly why they decided to send me this I have no idea- guessing Sample Source hooked me up. No affiliation, I’m just a member who enjoys fun mail. 😊
These drinks aren’t really my style, the sugar makes my tongue tingly and not in a good way but I never let food go to waste so I decided it would be a great opportunity to experiment with a lemon cocktail.
If alcohol isn’t your thing feel free to omit the gin for a fun and fresh lemon rosemary mocktail.
Lemon Gin Collins
2oz Gin
A squeeze of Lemon juice
A sprig of fresh Rosemary
Ice (3 ice cubes)
4oz Brisk Lemonade
Sparkling water
Place the freshly cut rosemary into a tall glass, add ice.
Add the gin and lemon juice.
Add the lemonade, top remaining space in the glass with sparkling water.
Give everything a little stir and enjoy!
This cocktail has a beautiful earthy undertone and complements the lemon well. It can also easily be converted into a mocktail - just give the rosemary leaves a little pinch to compensate for the lack of gin flavour.
The sample came with a coupon which I’m going to take advantage of next time Brisk Lemonades are on sale to scale this recipe up. I am envisioning a refreshing sangria with fresh lemons next- stay tuned.
